EMITE announces the release of the E500 Reverberation Chamber for MIMO Analyzer
EMITE is proud to announce the release of the E500 MIMO Analyzer mode‐stirred source‐stirred reverberation chamber test system. The E500 Series, in addition to the unique capabilities of its E Series predecessors, provides for unheard‐of levels of automation, allowing campaign testing overnight without human intervention.
E500 can also measure WLAN MIMO OTA TCP/UDP Throughput versus averaged received power in a fully automated manner, can control and autonomously operate a variety of channel emulators and can be served in small pieces and reassembled on‐site, easing the delivery and installation process. The new E500 Series also incorporates the testing capability of LTE‐A with Carrier Aggregation (CA) and 1x2/2x2 MIMO, as well as novel calibration method which does not require the need to use a VNA and yields accuracies of ±0.1 dB STD, made in co‐operation with NTT DoCoMo.
"The testing capabilities and automation level of E500 are simply unmatched in the wireless market. Concepts like overnight automated campaign testing, no‐VNA calibration, one‐shot calibration or one‐button customer‐defined test plan automated tests are just unheard off until now”, said David Sanchez‐Hernandez, CEO and founder of EMITE.
In an unprecedented set of configurable options, including WLAN operational mode, legacy rate, HT rate, bandwidth, channel [user‐defined or AUTO], guard interval, number of transmitting antennas, multicast rate, fragmentation threshold, transmit power control, cell size, DTIM, maximum number of AMPDU frames (802.11n), AMPDU frame size (802.11n) or frequency extension, among others, the E500 user can also operate complex Base Station Emulators and Channel Emulators without human intervention, providing overnight intense testing.
EMITE’s unique source‐stirred mode‐stirred reverberation chamber solutions (MSRC) provide for variety of fading scenarios at a fraction of the cost of alternative anechoic chamber‐based test solutions. Along with conventional realistic uniform, isotropic Rayleigh fading profiles for MIMO OTA testing, the EMITE solutions are the only ones also offering other standardized fading profiles using the patented Sample Selection technique, something unheard of in the wireless arena.
About EMITE
EMITE is a high‐tech company, spin‐out of the Technical University of Cartagena (Spain), awarded with the Spanish Emprendedor XXI Award and Certified by Spanish ANCES as Innovative High‐Tech Company (EiBT), with headquarters at the Fuente Alamo High Tech Park in the Region of Murcia (Spain). EMITE designs, develops, manufacturers and commercializes MIMO Analyzers as source‐stirred mode‐stirred reverberation chambers for the compliance testing of diverse 3G and 4G standards and pre‐standards worldwide, including LTE‐A, LTE, WIFIabgn, WiMAX and HSPA+, and has distribution offices in the US, Canada, Israel, South Korea, China, Taiwan R.O.C. and Japan. EMITE’s MIMO OTA mode‐stirred reverberation chamber solutions were ed by 3GPP and CTIA as candidate methodology for standardized LTE MIMO OTA compliance testing.
