The Compact PSA-100 & PSA-100-SA

The
PSA-100 and
PSA-100-SA offer a fixed configuration 2-port solution
that is ideal for evaluating device technologies,
reference designs, and live PoE service. It
is lightweight and portable, yet fully software compatible
with the PowerSync
Analyzer (PSA-1200). PSE hardware designers
can optionally configure the
PSE Conformance Test Suite
to enable
complete IEEE 802.3af specification testing
of individual PSE ports. Test Engineers can utilize the
PSA-100 as a
script development tool for debugging QA
and manufacturing test scripts targeted for higher-port
count products such
as the PSA-2400 or PSA-PL. The
PSA-100-SA PoE Service
Analyzer offers the most comprehensive automated
testing available for qualifying and
evaluating the integrity and interoperability of PoE Service
at any PD interface
throughout an installed network.
The PSA-1200 PowerSync Analyzer

The
PSA-1200 is a
scalable PowerSync Analyzer configurable from 2 to 24
test ports. It offers extensive PD
emulation capabilities including
programmable active load from 0 to 511 mA per port (0.5 mA
resolution), a wide range
of PD detection characteristics, and very
flexible load transient synthesis. Metering includes
Average, Minimum,
Maximum, and Trace Capture Voltage and
Current with flexible sampling intervals of 10msec to 5
seconds. Triggering
to meters and load transients includes both
waveform generated and event generated modes coupled with a
broadcast
trigger bus. The
PSA-1200 includes
PowerShell for script automation and PSA Interactive for
instrument control via a
comprehensive graphical user interface. The
PSA-1200 can be
optionally configured with the
PSE Conformance Test
Suite and the
PSE Multi-Port Test Suite
to enable highly automated port compliance and system
performance testing
and analysis.
The PSA-2400 RackPack PSA

High Coverage Manufacturing
The PSA-2400 is a fixed 48 port PowerSync
Analyzer configuration with full software and feature
compatibility to the
PSA-1200. It consists of two PSA chassis
that are “software bound”. It offers the
best price-performance for 48
port
and up testing applications where the
full capabilities of the PowerSync Analyzer are required to
run fully automated test
suites or to run user-generated high-speed
testing applications. With full support of the
PSE Conformance Test Suite
and the
PSE Multi-Port Test Suite, it is ideal for QA testing
environments requiring 48 port configurations. It is also a
fit for very-high throughput or high
coverage testing in a manufacturing setting.

The Programmable Load PSA-PL
Applications:

The
PSA-PL is a low cost-per-port entry point to the
PowerSync family of PSE test equipment. It offers a pure
subset
of PSA-1200 capabilities including static
programmable load, PD detection emulation, and basic voltage
and current
metering. It is an ideal fit where test
coverage can readily be compromised to meet cost objectives.
It can be
configured with 2 to 24 test ports. It can
be optionally configured to support the
PSE Multi-Port Test Suite,
offering 9 of
the 16 available Multi-Port tests thus
making it a good fit for cost conscious QA applications. The
PSA-PL includes
the
PowerShell script automation environment
making it ideal for manufacturing applications and offers an
optional PSA
Interactive PL graphical user interface for
interactive control. The
PSA-PL may be upgraded to a PSA-1200 through a
standard upgrade option offered by Sifos.
The
PSA-PL is the
ideal alternative to “home-brewed” PSE testing tools
because it is low cost while offering all the
benefits of commercially supported test
equipment including a sophisticated software automation
environment and a
productive interactive graphical user
interface for analysis and debug.
The PSE Conformance Test Suite

The
PSE Conformance Test Suite for the PowerSync Analyzer is
a fully automated IEEE 802.3 PSE Conformance
Test application that can be optionally
configured for the PSA-100, PSA-1200, and PSA-2400
platforms. It offers the
industry’s most comprehensive coverage,
level of automation, and reporting for PSE Conformance
Measurements on one or more PSE ports. In
concert with Sifos PSA Port Combiners, the PSE Conformance
Test Suite
also supports
High Power PSE Testing
for pre-standard 802.3at PSE’s with PoE power-per-port well
beyond 30 Watts.
The PSE Multi-Port Test Suite
Applications:

Design, QA
The
PSE Multi-Port Test Suite for the PowerSync Analyzer is
an innovative and
unique application that
automatically evaluates many system-wide
performance parameters of a PSE. Measurements include PSE
Capacity
Analysis, Power Management Testing, Load
Stress Testing, Port Independence and Isolation Tests,
Disconnect and
Overload Shut-Down Tests, and Startup,
Shut-Down, and Power Recycling Timing Tests. The
PSE Multi-Port Test
Suite relies heavily on test resources
that are unique to the PowerSync Family. It is supported on
the PSA-1200, PSA-
2400, and partially supported on the PSA-PL.
